September 21, 2021 The Museum of Fine Arts - Boston has it annual meeting of its Trustees, advisors and benefactors in September of each year. This is all about the governance of the Museum. As a Major Benefactor I have been able to attend in person for many of the past years. This year the meeting was on September 20 at 4:00 pm in Boston, which was at 5:00 am on September 21 in Shari. Because of restrictions for the pandemic, this year's meeting was held via Zoom. Therefore I was up early to be able to attend this very important meeting. The meeting was 90 minutes and explained many of the actions that the Museum had to implement because they were closed for much of the year. They are now confident and looking forward to a return to normal operations as soon as possible. There was also a presentation by curators for several of the upcoming exhibitions, including the Fabric of a Nation: American Quilt Stories exhibition that opens in October in the Gund gallery. This exhibition includes one of my "Two Hearts in Harmony" quilts that is in the Museum's permanent collection.

I'm happy to announce that one of my Two Hearts in Harmony quilts in the permanent collection at the Museum of Fine Arts - Boston will be included in the museum's new exhibition, "Fabric of a Nation: American Quilt Stories" that will open on October 10, 2021 in the Gund gallery at the museum. The exhibition is scheduled to be open until mid-January. Note that the current policy for visiting the museum requires everyone to obtain an online reservation in advance for the date and time of your visit. Once you check-in, you are allowed to stay as long as you wish before closing for the day. I'm also happy to announce that I will have a new exhibition at the New England Quilt Museum in Lowell, MA in 2024 and I'm hoping that I can announce plans for an exhibition at another major museum in the US in 2026.
