Dana McCown, the curator for my solo
exhibition that traveled to six museums in Australia In 2005 and 2006, sent me
a copy her autobiography that was just published. |

She is now 85 years old and has enjoyed an amazing life. I was happily surprised to see that she included several photos and 4 pages of explanation about her support for my work and the tour of the museums that she helped arrange! It was also fascinating to read about so many of her other accomplishments. There are many more things that I hope to learn from her in the future. I very much appreciate her gift to me! |

2021.6月17日(木) June 17, 2021 MFA-Boston Exhibition Catalog The MFA-Boston Textile curator sent me an advance copy of the exhibition catalog for Fabric of a Nation American Quilt Stories. This includes an explanation and photographs of the 58 quilts that will be exhibited in the Gund Gallery beginning on October 10, 2021. |

| I am very proud that one of my quilts, Indigo Colour Mixture, from my Two Hearts in Harmony series that's part of MFA-Boston's permanent collection, will be included in this exhibition. Unfortunately this exhibition had to be postponed 3 times due to the pandemic, so I'm very happy that it will finally be able open. I hope that many of you will be able to visit MFA-Boston to see this wonderful exhibition! |

| June 26, 2021 Visit to the New England Quilt Museum I visited the New England Quilt Museum in Lowell to view the exhibit of my 3 quilts, Hexagon I, Hexagon II and Hexagon III in the permanent collection gallery. |

I was pleasantly surprised that Pam Weeks, the exhibition curator, happened to be there at the same time. With Pam's encouragement,I was happy to provide an impromptu lecture to 8 - 10 visitors who recognized me and began asking many questions about the details of my quilts. |

| I also had the opportunity to see the Quilt Japan exhibition of the winning quilts. They were great beautiful quilts! It's on display until August 15, so I encourage many people to take the opportunity to view this exhibition. | |||

In 2000, I had 5 quilts displayed in the museum's Mood Indigo exhibition. In 2018, my 3 Hexagon quilts were added to the permanent collection. And yes,I exactly remember in 1988 NHK made a special program at the NEQM to explain the story about the creation of the museum. I feel very proud to continue the good relationship between Japan and the NEQM and hope it will grow for the benefit of future generations!! |
