May 19 I returned to my Boston studio home. It has been raining every day for many days, so many beautiful trees and flowers are blooming. The day after i arrived my friend invited me to dinner to welcome me home! |

| May 22 My friend is president of the Dante alighieri Italian society, so he invited me to a special opera program. This was my first experience seeing opera singers, and it was a great opportunity! |

May 25.26 I was very lucky to be able to attend the special concert performed by the Boston Pops on May 25 and May 26. I am attaching some pictures for you to enjoy. The highlight was listening to the World Premiere of the special oboe concert that was written by John Williams for my good friend Keisuke Wakao. I enjoyed meeting with John Williams for a few minutes after the concert at a private reception. I was also very proud of the fantastic performance by my friend Keisuke Wakao. |

| I also enjoyed a pre-concert dinner party with several dear friends in
my Boston studio home. Although the concert was not directly connected to my art work, it also provided stimulation for my mind with many new ideas for future designs and creative life! |

| May 29 Today I visited Wachusetts Meadows to get the wool from the Spring shearing of my favorite sheep. I appreciate that Joe and Cindy and the staff of the Massachusetts Audubon do a great job of caring for the sheep all year, and the wool is beautiful again this year. |

This was a beautiful day. After many cool and rainy days, it was like mid-summer, with sunny skies and temperature above 30 centigrade. After the stress of daily life in the city, it was wonderful and very relaxing to enjoy the trip through the countryside and forest conservation area. I always enjoy visiting the farm and conservation land of the Massachusetts Audubon Society. I also enjoyed seeing and listening to the songs of many beautiful birds, like rose breasted grosbeaks, American goldfinch, and redwinged blackbirds. Of course I love both the city and the countryside, and I continue to get wonderful inspiration and new ideas while enjoying the natural beauty of the country. |
| I obtained the wool from 4 of my most favorite sheep. I have already started to clean the wool in the bathtub at my Boston studio. It will take about a week of several washings and then drying for each fleece as the first step in preparation for creating some new art projects. The color of some of the wool is a little different than last year, but it is all beautiful and will add to the variety of the design. I am pleased that I expect to be able to use the natural colors, varying from light to dark gray and even some black. I have not decided yet if I will choose to dye some of the wool. |
