☆★☆★☆Boston Studio news, March 2015☆★☆★☆

	26 March 2015 March continued with the heavy snowfalls in Boston, so much that it set an all time record for cumulative snowfall of nearly 10 feet of snow for the winter of 2014-2015! There we huge snow piles everywhere around my studio. There was so much snow that many deer from nearby conservation areas could not find enough food, and were looking around my studio for any food they could find.

They ate needles from evergreen trees and even learned to attack the bird feeder to steal sunflower seeds from the birds. Fortunately the beautiful cardinal and many other birds have managed to survive the tough winter. I hope that they did not kill the trees. If so, next year I will have to use special spray on the trees to repel the deer!

It was also time for me to finish packing 11 boxes of my quilts for shipping to France in preparation for my featured exhibition at Quiltmania's annual international exhibition that will be held in Nantes, France from April 22 to April 26. I hope that many of you can come and enjoy the opportunity to see many of my works in one exhibition. There is a link to the website for this festival at the bottom of this page.

I am also continuing to work on my next quilt that is part of my second Two Hearts in Harmony series.

I greatly appreciate the opportunity to attend a private lecture on March 26th at the MFA-Boston by Anne Morse, the curator of a wonderful exhibition ofmany of the works of Hokusai.

MFA-Boston has the largest collection of Japanese art outside of Japan.
