2015.12 Boston studio news
2015. December 5 I am sorry that I haven't updated my website for a long time. I have had a very busy Fall season! I have just finished piecing the quilt top for the second quilt in my new hexagonal log cabin series. |

I began the month by taking some time to enjoy looking at more details
in the "Quilts and Color" book published by the MFA-Boston as
part of their recent exhibition of the same name. The show is traveling to other museums, and is currently at the museum in Oklahoma City, and will later travel to Santa Monica, California. |

On December 5, a curator from Poland visited my Boston studio to study
many examples of my work. She is hoping to arrange for a future exhibition
of my works at a major museum in Poland. I am hoping that they accept her proposal as I would welcome the opportunity for the people of Poland, and neighboring European countries, to see my work! She viewed many of my completed works, my textile supplies, plus several example of boro and other complementary things that could be included in an exhibit. This will likely be at least two years before an exhibition can be planned and an opening arranged. I will let everyone know as soon as more details become available. |
